Howard Fyffe joins both organisations following the announcement that they are merging to create the nation’s largest Australian-owned and operated integrator of AI, cyber security, technology and business automation services. Reporting to CSO Group, CEO and Founder Michael Simkovic and xAmplify CEO and Co-founder Wayne Gowland, he will be responsible for integrating both organisations’ sales teams, as well as defining a unified national sales and go-to-market strategy as they bring a sophisticated suite of solutions to digitally advance and protect government and corporate clients.

Michael Simkovic, CSO Group CEO commented: “We are thrilled to have an executive of Howard’s calibre join us on our mission to create Australia’s largest home-grown cyber security, AI and automation consulting business. He has proven expertise establishing cyber and technology businesses in the local market and is an exceptional addition to the team.”

Wayne Gowland, xAmplify CEO added: “Howard’s experience building major global technology brands in Australia will be hugely impactful as we embark on ambitious plans to increase the breadth of our services and scale to meet the needs of our expanding client base. We’re delighted to have him in our leadership team as we look to future opportunities once our operations are fully integrated.”

Fyffe has decades of senior technology leadership experience. He launched VAST Data in Australia in 2021, leading a team to record growth and customer adoption for VAST’s AI Data Platform. Prior to VAST Data, he was ANZ Country Manager for Veritas Technologies where he helped large government and enterprise organisations protect their data and address the growing problems of dark data and cyber threats including ransomware.

Prior to Veritas, he was Country Manager A/NZ for Nutanix, where he drove double-digit growth and adoption of private cloud in the lead-up to Nutanix’s successful IPO.  Before joining Nutanix, Fyffe had a 14-year career across numerous roles for Cisco Systems across Asia Pacific, Australia, and the United States. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from New York University Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Economics from Lehigh University

Howard Fyffe, Chief Revenue Officer, CSO Group and xAmplify, commented: “I could not be more excited to be joining Michael, Wayne and their teams as we look to reshape AI, automation and cyber security for the Australian market. Both of these businesses are category leaders in terms of the innovation and depth of expertise they deliver to clients. Together, they will be transformative.”

“The prospect was too good to turn down: to be able to create a wholly Australian-owned AI, Automation and Cyber business, and change the game for enterprise and government organisations across Australia spanning industries such as defence, federal and state government, energy, financial services, health, logistics, retail, construction and mining,” he added.

Once complete, the merged CSO Group and xAmplify business will deliver some of the most innovative and digitally advanced AI, automation and cyber solutions to over 110 clients. The new entity will be headquartered in Sydney and have a significant national presence with operations across every state and territory, with a combined headcount of more than 160 staff.
